Kane was born into a family of stage performers, and from an early age picked up his mother's amazing dancing ability. He and his family traveled the world, doing performances everywhere they could get an audience, and as Kane grew older he started to go out on his own as well. His dancing earned him love, fame and adoration everywhere he went. Yes, Kane was living a charmed life.

Then the morning of their biggest performance, he overslept. His family, furious, demanded to know why he'd slept so late. When he didn't answer, they assumed he was just being contrary and went on with their morning. But when the time came to practice, they started the music and noticed Kane wasn't joining them. When they asked why, he simply replied, "What music?"

It was then they realized Kane had lost his hearing. They were forced to go on without him, and afterwards declared it their last performance before they went on hiatus. They would resume the act as soon as Kane got better.

But Kane knew he wasn't going to get better. Even stranger, later that day he found a journal by his bedside he knew hadn't been there the night before. He took this as a sign that his life had changed completely, and he had no choice but to go along with it. He's sworn off dancing and spends almost all of his time alone.

Formerly a happy, sociable young man, Kane is decidedly emo and bitchy about his loss. He hates pity and insincerity, especially from strangers, and is quick to lash out if he suspects someone is lying to him.

He used to be very close with his family, and now resents them for giving up their life's purpose to coddle him. His protests that he doesn't need them hovering over him and worrying every second fall on deaf ears (pun not intended).

He misses dancing, of course, it was his whole life. But he's convinced as long as he can't here, he'll never dance again as long as he lives, so he won't try any of the alternative methods his family suggests.

He's very dramatic in the way he speaks and tends to make mountains out of molehills.

Kane is tall and stately, with long, pine-green hair and narrow violet eyes. His face, though handsome, sports a perpetually angry expression. He sports a slight tan despite spending most of his time indoors, and tends to dress in dark colors..
